Erika Eckstrom is the owner of Painted Bar Stables, the premier public riding facility in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate, N.Y. where she and her team host over 5,000 trail riders and lesson rides per year on their herd of 30+ horses.
An avid horsewoman and an avid traveler, Erika has spent the past decade combining those passions and repackaging them into experiences for adventurers of all levels. From walk only trail rides through the creek to EquiTreks through the Finger Lakes National Forest all the way to endurance races with seasoned riders across the Biltmore Estate, her goal has been to craft riding adventures specifically to the needs of the riders she has joining her in order to share her love of the trails.
Since developing the Painted Bar Stables, Erika has received numerous honors, including the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2014 by the U.S. Small Business Administration for the Syracuse N.Y. District. Erika serves on the marketing advisory board for the Finger Lakes Tourism Association as well as the Schuyler County Cornell Cooperative Extension Pro-Ed Committee.
