I have never seen a quote more accurately describe horse training than this!
Everyone envisions horse training as a series of problem solving and corrections, but it’s really just climbing a pyramid repetitive foundations over and over again. It’s baby steps up the mountain not giant leaps of accomplishments.
And in reality, if you get to the point that you have to problem solve, you pushed too hard and went too fast caused the problem yourself.
We are planning to start up our PBS Greenhorn Training Club in the near future, but most likely not until the start of next year because it feels like A LOT of holidays on the horizon.
The Greenhorn Training Club is a class series we do that focuses on writers learning the foundations of horse training.
This next session we really want to focus on the trajectory of horses and not just individual skills, so we have some big pedagogical shifts coming in how individual classes are devised. I’m really excited about it!!
