Horse Use Statistics: tracking how often your horse works

Every time our horse is ridden we track the minutes used and how they were used (trail ride, trail guide, lesson, lesson demo, schooling, groundwork or recreation ride).
Knowing how many times a horse is used, how many minutes, if most of their rides are with staff or clients, and when they were worked helps us have a better understanding of each horse and their needs, but also our herd as a unit. It shows us holes in our training and helps us plan for the future.
We also keep track of how many times horses are injured, lame or lose a shoe!! It also keeps our business plan on track helping us better understand our budget and the value of every ride.
But in the end what it really does is help us REALLY develop respect for our horses.
